Our historyOur company started off as a home-based freelance web design business called Webdesign by Lorna (http://www.sabah.net.my/webdesign) in 1998. Our first set of clients were from small businesses who were familiar with our day-time job expertise in web development. As we began establishing our business in the web development arena, our customer base advanced to include non-profit and government organizations. Cybernet was officially registered in 2000, just as we started to receive requests to handle IT workshops and business application development as well as converting client-based systems to Web- and Internet-based, and vice versa. Until today, we have continued to establish our credibility in providing quality services at competitive prices. We strive to focus on satisfying and exceeding our customers' needs, as we explore other online revenue-generating avenues to sustain and boost company profitability. Our clientsWe serve individuals, small and medium sized service industries, as well as non-profit organizations and government agencies. We are very proud to have our clients onboard, primarily because our leads are 99% referred from our existing customers. Not only that, we constantly receive repeat sales from our clients. As we keep them happy, our clients keep us happy too. Our founderCybernet's founder, Lorna Timbah, is a graduate from the University of Alabama, USA, with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Management, and a minor in Computing Technology and Applications. Her passion for IT technologies and the Internet helped her land her first job as a Webmaster (and later as a Web Unit Manager), with the role to manage a network of websites for Sabah.Net. As her freelance pursuit continue to flourish under Cybernet, Lorna left her job to pursue a full-time position as the CEO of this company. Lorna is also a part time tutor with Open University Malaysia, teaching IT and e-commerce subjects to diploma- and degree-level students. Lorna's business savvy and know-how in translating customer's business requirements into IT solutions have proved to be the critical success factors to Cybernet's growth. Lorna aspires to venture into the consultation arena specifically focusing on small business ventures on the Internet that may benefit the local community, as well as to continue honing her programming skills.
